During the era of dictators, Burman chauvinism  and radical nationalism were sown, and ethnic and non-religious people living in Myanmar were discriminated because they fought against nationalistic and religious ideologies with the words that they must preserve their national religion.

Islams were the most discriminated and get intensive violence, such as racial and religious crisis in the classroom, immigration office, passport offices and on the street.

Rakhine is also a refuge area for Rohingya who are not recognized as citizens, where not only the Military Council has been defeated militarily but also the military recruitment of Rohingyas, which is a brutal action in February as the nationalists have done for ages.

“Another thing is that, in Rakhine State military council is unable to control the situation and they have to withdraw, it is done with the purpose of creating armed conflict problems in the Rakhine region, including ethnic groups” said U Khaing Thukha, the spokesperson of Arakan army. On February 19, a lot of military personnel, including a colonel from the Kyauk Phyu camp, arrived at the Kyauk Ta Lone rescue camp and forced 350 Rohingya refugees in the camp to join them as recruits. If they don’t join the army, they are threatened with imprisonment, which is the law of the land. As the refugees do not have the right to citizenship, they are asking for citizenship and registration.

Around 9:00 a.m, on february 27th, about 50 terrorist soldiers from Kyaukphyu City-based terrorist army KaLaRa 542 joined forces with about 20 policemen from the No. 32 police battalion to raid and forcibly arrest 107 Rohingya men between the ages of 18 and 35 and detained them in the food warehouse of the rescue camp.

U Khaing Thukha said that rather than recruiting soldiers, the military council is recruiting Rohingya to give them military training, equip them with weapons, and force them to fight till die.

Therefore, as young Islams, if they are forced into military service as it is inevitable, they should escape by any means possible and then come and refuge in a safe place, Rakhine Army AA spokesperson U Khaing Thukha said at a press conference on March 4.

The National Unity Government (NUG) said that in Rakhine State, where the military is losing, the forced labor of the illegal Rohingyas to be used as human shields by the military council is to protect the interests of the military group and destroy trust between the ethnic groups. It has been announced that it was done intentionally to cause religious and ethinical problems. Regarding the forced conscription of young Rohingya Islams, who are not allowed to receive citizenship, Zaw Min Tun, the information officer of the Military Council, said in their news agency on February 29 that Rohingya Muslims would not be forced to serve in the military. But on March 8th, a video of Rohingya  youths being trained by the firemen, police and military council troops under the command of Colonel Kyaw Thura, the Minister of Security and Border Affairs of Rakhine State, went viral on social media. By looking at this process, it is clear that Zaw Min Tun has lied and made false statements.

In that way, even though the military council lost the war, Rohingya tribes are forced to be recruited and forced to fight only for the purpose of increasing religious differences and conflict problems.
